History
• 1932 – private entrepreneur Tibor Gresch from Spišská Belá built a chalet – so to speak – “not of money but of love and his sweat”
• since 1954 – closed for use as a research base and facility by the national park (TANAP)
• 1993 – the chalet was taken over by the Spišská Belá municipality and was reopened to the public
• 1994 – total reconstruction was carried out with the rebuild costs of almost 1 mil SK (in former Slovak currency)
